As well as being renowned for the numerous fine sandy beaches and coastal rambles, there are many other attractions to this part of Cornwall. The following are a selection of popular days out and places of interest.

Day out on the Isles of Scilly
 Fly to the Scilly Isles in a 6-seater light aeroplane from St Just airport, spend a day exploring the islands and return on the Scillonian ferry ship. The airport teams up with the ferry and they sometimes do special day trip deals. It makes an exciting and interesting day out.

Walks and Rambles
The South West Way, the longest coastal path in Britain, is a few minutes walk from the flat. The scenery varies enormously, depending on the geology, from hidden beaches and secret coves to crumbling sandstone hills and rugged granite cliffs. Ancient Monuments and Mystical Sites
 This area of Cornwall is rich in local folklore and contains numerous ancient stone circles, Bronze Age standing stones, hill forts and burial chambers, etc. Visiting them makes for fascinating days out and walks, as some are in quite isolated positions.
