The Merry Maidens Stone Circle with Cows
Probably the best known and most perfect stone circle in Cornwall,
the Merry Maidens (St Buryan) is a true and complete circle of nineteen
upright stones between 3 and 4.5 feet tall. It is Generally accepted to
date from about 2400 BC (Bronze Age) and has an entrance gap to the east.
